One of the most personal songs on Justin Moore's Late Nights and Longnecks album is "That's My Boy," a father's meditation on raising a young son. Below, Moore explains why it meant so much to him to write a song specifically for his toddler-aged son -- and how he's planning to make up for it to his three daughters! Read on to learn the story behind the song, as told by the artist himself.

So, I've never written a song directly or specifically for any of my three daughters. I do have a tattoo on one arm for my oldest daughter, which makes my two middle daughters really angry. They go, "Where's our tattoo?!" I go, "Well, dad's running out of real estate." I don't know if y'all have looked at [my arm] lately, but there's not a whole lot of real estate left.

I say all that to say this: I wrote this song. My wife and I, two years ago, we had our first son. I wrote a song for him about being a dad to a little boy. And so maybe I can get around to either working out and then getting some more tattoos, or writing more songs for the girls. I don't know, but either way, this song is really special to me.
