Norwich Level 1 Sex Offender Accused of Sexually Exploiting a Child

A Norwich man is accused of sexually exploiting a child under the age of six for the purpose of making images of the abuse. 

Federal prosecutors say 33-year-old Patrick Kain is a level one sex offender who was previously convicted of sexually abusing a child under the age of 14.

He was arrested April 27 and charged with sexually exploiting a child on allegations that he abused the youngster in February of 2019.

If convicted of the latest charge, Kain faces 25 to 50 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

Kaine is being held by federal officials pending further proceedings.
