Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that out of the over 15,000 confirmed coronavirus cases in New York State, around 1,900 people are hospitalized. 114 people have died from COVID-19 as of Sunday.

With those numbers in mind, Cuomo announced that all non-essential workers are ordered to stay at home and Attorney General Leticia James says those workers told to violate that order should contact her office. In addition, all elective or non critical surgical procedures are cancelled effective this Wednesday, March 25 as a way to create additional hospital bed space.
