New York State has received $6.4 million in Federal grants to implement job training programs throughout the state. The award, which is the largest in the nation, will allow New York State to build on the success of a previous $3.4 million grant that helped 308 businesses hire 543 workers since 2011.

With the New York Works program helping to jumpstart job creation projects and getting the economy back on track, the federal funding from the U.S. Department of Labor is expected to help hundreds of companies hire new workers and train them for successful careers in New York.
