The Lions motto is "We Serve," and the club certainly does. Over the holidays, they Oxford Lions invited the community to their annual Jim Podraza Free Christmas Dinner at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Parish, welcoming all persons in need of fellowship. Many club members participated, with the result being a delicious roast turkey dinner enjoyed by 231 people. This is just one of a number of important events the Lions Club has been a part of for the last 40 years!

Since chartering in 1967, its members have volunteered on a variety of projects including work days at Boname Park, the Adopt-A-Highway clean-up project an annual Halloween parade and the free holiday dinner.

Proceeds from past events have gone towards college scholarships, eye exams and glasses, Christmas baskets, support for fire victims and many other local needs.

They will start the new year off with their annual Chenango Lake Perch Derby on Saturday, February 7th from 7 AM to 2 PM, with proceeds going to fund many of their community concerns. Thank you to all who help out!
