Fatal Vehicle/Pedestrian Crash on Route 12 in Norwich

Chenango County Emergency Services officials report Route 12 is reopened following a fatal collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian around 9:50 p.m. July 13.

New York State Police are investigating the incident, which occurred at 10:53 p.m. in front of Fred's Inn in the Town of Norwich. State Police confirm that the pedestrian died in the incident.

The names of those involved have not been released.

Route 12 was closed from Upper Ravine Road to County Road 32B for three hours.

The New York State Police, Chenango County Sheriff's Office and Norwich Ambulance responded to the scene.
