The National Association of Home Builders has honored the State University of New York at Delhi. They're giving the school a $100,000 grant to be used to set up a residential construction program.

The current construction courses focus on commercial and industrial construction. This grant will give students the opportunity to pursue a degree in residential building work.

Eric Roberts, SUNY Delhi Dean of Applied Sciences and Building Technologies, says the grant is the first to be awarded for the specialized program in the northeast.
