SUNY Oneonta Confirmed As COVID-19 State-Run Vaccine Site
SUNY Oneonta Acting President Dennis Craig issued a statement that the college will become one of New York’s 10 new mass COVID-19 vaccination sites. Area legislators including State Senator Peter Oberacker wrote a letter to Governor Cuomo, asking that our rural area greatly needed better access via SUNY Oneonta to COVID-19 vaccines and that SUNY Oneonta would be a great location as a state-run site.
Craig said they are proud to play a larger role in fighting the pandemic and ensuring the health and safety of everyone across the region. State Senator Peter Oberacker praised the college for putting together an effective plan and also the state for recognizing the critical need in the region.
