Last week, the Post standard came out with a list of the top 100 celebrities with CNY connections, and there were quite a few that were rather impressive.  The problem was, a majority had just that, connections, and were not from the area. So as I scanned the list, I knew Matt Malloy had to be there somewhere, right? After all, he was born and raised in Madison County, graduating from Hamilton High School in 1982.  Nope. Wrong. No Matt. Seriously?

Now, I'll admit I am biased as I have had the opportunity to meet Matt, and have played golf with him more than once in Hamilton. But bias or not, the man has had over 120 appearances in movies and on TV since 1988.

His TV credits include several "Law and Orders," The "Good Wife," NCIS," "Bones," a recurring role on "6 Feet Under," "Desperate Housewives and many many more.  His movie roles include "Armegeddon" with Bruce Willis, "Election" with Reese Witherspoon," and he played Faith Hill's husband in the "Stepford Wives."  He also recently appeared in the HBO movie "Phil Spector" with Al Pacino.

These days, Matt and his wife split time between L.A. and Hamilton, and is known to be very generous to his hometown community.

How the Post Standard writer missed this is a true mystery. C'Mon!
