Just because Mets owner Steve Cohen has enough money to land any player he wants, it doesn’t mean he will get careless with his spending. Toronto outbid the Mets for outfielder George Springer, but that’s not the end of the world. The Mets need some extra money to throw at throw at Michael Conforto, and Cohen really wants to stay under the Luxury Tax threshold. Jackie Bradley Jr. is still available, and comes at a cheaper price tag. Bradley Jr is the best defensive outfielder in the game, and would be a fit for the Mets. How about the Yankees?
