...or at least it's time for your cat, ferret, or dog to get a shot if they are not currently vaccinated against rabies. NY State Law requires  dogs, cats and domesticated ferrets to be immunized against rabies no later than 4 months of age, and dogs to be licensed at 4 months of age.

Chenango County Dept. of Public Health  has three rabies clinics scheduled for June. They are....

June 14th from 7-830 PM at the New Berlin Fire Station

June 21st from 5-7 PM at the Greene Fire Station

June 23rd from 9-11 AM at the Sherburne Fire Station

Rabies clinics are free, and donations are gratefully accepted. For further information, contact the Chenango County Dept. of  Public Health, Environmental Division at 607-337-1673.

Here's something I didn't know...if your cat, ferret, or dog is not currently vaccinated and is involved in biting someone, it must be confined at an approved facility for 10 days at the OWNER'S expense.  Save yourself some grief and a few dollars...get to one of these clinics.
