Tornado Hoops Season Extended

The Norwich boys hoops team coasted to a 68-46 victory over Whitney Point Saturday night at the Arena to win their second consecutive Section 4 Class B title.  It was the first time in 19 years Norwich has won back to back titles and now are just one win away from the final 4 at Glens Falls.

Norwich trailed 4-3 against the Golden Eagles, then went on a 13-0 run and never looked back. Kyle Edwards led all scorers with 23 points.

Up next, it's the Section 3 winners, Westhill, who defeated Skaneatles 63-41.  Westhill is currently ranked 5th in the state in Class B, while Norwich has received honorable mention votes.  That game will be at 6 PM Saturday March 9th at Onondaga Community College, and can be heard on AM 970, WCHN.
