A renowned music event for blues enthusiasts is returning to the Norwich, NY fairgrounds for 2022 - get read for The 29th Annual "Chenango Blues Fest" at the Chenango County Fairgrounds in Norwich, August 19 and 20.

That is, if you are a "Blue fan. Summer is winding down, but Blues fans are ready for one last fling as the 22nd annual Chenango Blues Fest is this Friday and Saturday, August 15 and 16. 22 years ago, a few friends got together to form the Chenango Blues Association and put together a show at the fairgrounds in Norwich...

There should be no complaints about a lack of something to do in Norwich this summer. Beginning with a great day of music in East Park last Sunday, the Mustang Rally at Matthews Ford and Dairy Day at the fairgrounds Saturday, the summer is jammed full of entertainment...

Sure, the fair is long over and the Blues Fest Committee is working on the 2014 show, but that doesn't mean the music has "died" at the fairgrounds.  Coming Saturday, September 28th, it's "Bands, Brew and BBQ."  That's right, a full day of music and fun at the fairgrounds brought to you this time around by Catholic Charities of Chenango County...

Another Gus Macker 3 on 3 tournament has come and gone,  and the downtown streets are quiet again, save for the normal traffic.  Congratulations again to all involved in the organization, including Tom Revoir and everyone at the Norwich Family YMCA, including the "Gus Busters," or volunteers without whom the show would not go on...

The third summer concert presented by the Chenango Blues Fest is Thursday in East Park. This week, it's the Campbell Brothers Band, presenting Sacred Steel. Sacred Steel is described as African American gospel music with electric steel guitar and vocals.
