6 On The Square in Oxford Celebrates 8th Anniversary

This Saturday, June 20th at 7:30 PM, 6 On The Square is celebrating their 8th anniversary with award winning songsmith Michael Jerling.  Hailing from Saratoga, Jerling tells musical stories from the heart, rich with visual imagery. His perfect, stringed rock and folk melodies on multiple instruments have been described as "butterscotch baritone."

Jerling has been among the winners of the prestigious "New Folk" competition at the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas, and his involvement with the Fast Folk Musical Magazine in N.Y. City has led to his song, "Long Black Wall" being included on a Smithsonian Folkways CD celebrating 20 years of Fast Folk.
