Banned Words From 2012

Each year, Lake Superior State University in Michigan releases a "tongue in cheek" list of words and phrases that have become tiresome, to say the least.  The 38th annual list of words to be banished from the Queen's English for misuse, overuse, and general uselessness is based on nominations fro the U.S., Canada and beyond.

This year, 12 words and phrases made the cut including one which has become painfully agonizing to hear and I bet you know it already.  As Barney says....wait for it.....wait for it.....FISCAL CLIFF!.  Yeah, it's been months since any news report anywhere went without using that phrase, right?

You can read the rest of the "banned"  words and phrases list here, but as far as I'm concerned, they missed two that never should be spoken again, but will be many times over for the next 8 months or so I'm afraid.  Those would be "Kardashian" and , yup, "KimYe."
