Oxford Tree Board Votes on Arbor Day Posters

The Village of Oxford Tree Board met in March to vote on the 2015 Arbor Day Poster Contest which students of Oxford Academy's fifth grade recently participated in. The fifth graders were invited to show off their artistic flare and science knowledge to demonstrate a poster theme, "Trees are Terrific and Beneficial."

The fifth grade art classes of Charity Gipp at Oxford Academy entered the contest, and of over 40 entries, 3 winners were chosen, and they are.....well, we have to wait. The winners will be announced at and award ceremony and party Thursday, April 9th at the Middle School. The students will be recognized and participate in an Arbor Day ceremony in the village on Saturday, April 25th.
