Pumpkin Festival

Morrisville College Norwich Campus students are organizing a scarecrow contest for the Pumpkin Festival in downtown Norwich  October 4th and 5th.  Scarecrows need to be free standing and can be dropped off at West Park Friday the 4th from 5-9PM and Saturday the 5th from 9-noon...

Here we go with Thursday's clue..... "Across from Fayes, Hubbord's Drug Store Dr. Lee, a belfry looking up at a tower? All aboard, hurry hurry the trains will depart every hour."  Good luck, and we'll see you at the Festival.

The hunt for the Golden Pumpkin continues, and here is Wednesday's clue.... "We watched them fly the uneven Perry Towers since 1874, Trying to figure out how to open the red door." If you find the envelope, bring it to the information tent at the Pumpkin Festival Saturday...

The Artist's Palette, now at their new location at 29 South Broad Street in Norwich, will hold an open house and artist reception during the Pumpkin Festival Saturday, October 13th.  The open house will be from 4-6 PM and will include a sidewalk chalk competition, face painting, and arts and crafts...

The Norwich Elks are at it again.  Yup, a sure sign of the end of summer...The last Elks Lodge Chicken BBQ of the season. As always, halves are 6$ and dinners, which include baked beans, cole slaw and macaroni salad, are 9$.  Chicken should be ready by 10:30 this Saturday morning...

The Pumpkin Festival committee decided to change the dates of this year's event.  They are hoping that more families can attend that usually can't make it because of youth sporting events, and they hope that by having it earlier in the month there is a better chance for nice fall weather...

Mark it down....October 12th and 13th for the 14th annual Norwich Pumpkin Festival.  Tons of activities are planned including a concert in the park with the Beadle Brothers, a karaoke contest, haunted house, pumpkin bake-off, and of course, the Golden Pumpkin Contest...
